Every few years or so my local anime convention Ai-Kon commissions me for plushies of their guests to give them at the closing ceremonies. This year I had the priviledge of making plushes for Christopher Sabat, Monica Rial, Brina Palencia, Todd Haberkorn and Greg Ayres.
I really enjoyed making them! I have them little shirts that looked like the big ones the convention was selling for the year. They all seemed to really like them C: These guys were the reason I didn't have as much stock done for my art table, but I can never say anything because it's supposed to be a surprise!

Their reactions were fantastic, and it's always nice meeting the guests C:
That is amazing! do yo hand to plushies to them yourself? also i've been looking at your other plushies, and you say that they are made out of minky. what is that?
Yup, I got to give it to them on stage at the ceremony. Minky is a really soft cuddle fabric, it's almost like a super short fur but not really. (I can't find any other way to describe it, haha )
that is firstly awesome. and okay i was just wondering cause I've been making my own plushies using templates i found on da and have been using fleece and cheep blankets. also i'm guessing that you use a sewing machine, what kind do yo use?
I used to use fleece when I first started, it's a good cheaper material to use. I still use it for some things too. I have an embroidery/sewing machine, it's a Janome Memorycraft 9700
These are flippin cute >u< I thought it was you who made them when I saw them in the closing ceremonies! (But I wasn't sure since I was so far back and couldn't see them clearly ||D)
